Beautiful environments, color, and unique items were always of interest and desire to me. As a young teenager, I would beg my mother to be able change the wall color in my room, re-arrange all the furniture, and even re-cycle (in some way ) some of the accessories. She did not mind buying the paint, as long as I did all the painting and re-arranging! I was in heaven. This experience, combined with a class in the 7th grade, sparked me on to what I thought would be my career path. Somehow, I knew that this was something that not only was my passion, but also something I can share with others to help them create their own special spaces.
 
Even though I went to college and gained a degree in Business Administration, and worked in the corporate world, I knew that I needed to follow that path I found so long ago. So, I went back to school and studied Interior Design at Eastern Michigan University. My career took me on a few paths with many years at Ethan Allen where I was fortunate to advance to General Manager, a couple years working with builders as a designer merchandising model homes, and a couple years working for EXPO Design Center as a Designer. I have been fortunate in that all were wonderful paths and taught me so much through the experience and skills that were developed.
 
After much support from friends and family, about 2 1/2 years ago I decided it was time to venture out on my own. That is when GG Design Inspirations was founded. The smiles and joy that I bring to clients just makes my day. I love to help them create their own personalized, cozy home environments that they will live with for years.
 
Besides running my own business, I teach Interior Design classes at Anne Arundel Community College and Prince George's Community College in Laurel, for their adult continuing education program. Also, I write monthly articles for "Taste of the Bay" magazine.
