Dr. Brenda C. Turner
Author, Researcher, Educator

Tithing: Need or Greed Part II--God's Way to Family & Financial Stability is a book that will provide you with biblical truths about how God wants us to give into His Kingdom, and it will provide you with a guide toward ensuring spiritual peace and a secure financial future.

Moreover, it is a how to guide to help you to realize that what you pray to our Father for in the name of Jesus is not only possible, but assured by our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Interceptor in prayer to the Most High God. The information provided is based on biblical truths and not on manmade commands and requirements as to what we need to do to please God. Our pleasing God has more to do with our faith than anything else. Our blessings are not based on anything beyond our faith in the Holy Trinity and our desire for salvation through Jesus Christ--not on our monetary contributions to our churches, as many of us are told to believe by some church leaders.

I am a "Crusader for Christ" and all that He stands for in accordance with His teachings in the New Testament or under the New Covenant. For over 40 years, I have been in the field of education, as a representative in various capacities, under my employment with the U.S. Department of Education. Presently, I am a Senior Education Program Specialist in the Office of English Language Acquisition. My educational background consists of an undergraduate degree at the University of the District of Columbia in Business Management, a Masters of Education in Educational Technology from the University of Maryland (UC), and a Doctorate of Divinity from Summit Bible College, with a concentration in Biblical Counseling.

Additionally, I am a part-time professor at the University of Phoenix in Crystal City, VA, in the English Composition Department. I am often referred to as "aggressive, assertive, and courageous," which are adjectives that often refer to career and goals-oriented women who dare to challenge established norms. As I have grown older and wiser, my interests and desires have focused more on doing what I believe the Lord has called upon me to do as my "commission." We all have a spiritual purpose in life, and I believe that my Father wants me to use the gifts and talented that I have developed over the years to write. It is due to this realization of my purpose that I wrote my first book, Tithing: Need or Greed and my second book, Tithing: Need or Greed Part II--God's Way to Family and Financial Stability, as my way of helping others better understand how God wants us to give for the benefit of others through our churches and other charitable contributions.

It is my firm belief that we are put on this earth to use our specialties or talents, not for our benefit, but for the benefit of others, so that none will suffer lack.
